Historic Calgary Rezoning Hearing Wraps Up

Calgary's largest public hearing on proposed citywide rezoning has ended after over two weeks, with 736 speakers and 238 panels. The event, which lasted over two weeks, saw 6,101 written statements submitted for the public record. The City Council will reconvene on Monday, May 13, for clarification and debate on a main motion. The meeting will culminate in a Council vote, with Proposed Bylaw 21P2024 potentially addressed after voting. The City will share the schedule for week four of the April 22 Public Hearing Overflow and will provide minutes for public viewing.

The public can still submit submissions for the public record at calgary.ca/publicsubmissions.

The hearing can be observed in person or livestreamed on calgary.ca/watchlive.

Recordings of the Public Hearing are also available at agendaminutes.calgary.ca
