Update on Downtown Lane Closures & Detours: February 14 - 28, 2025

As part of ongoing infrastructure improvements and essential maintenance projects, several lane closures and detours will be in effect throughout the city from February 14 to 28, 2025. Please plan your commutes accordingly and stay informed to minimize travel disruptions.

Road Closures and Detours Update:

1. Ongoing through winter: the westbound right lane of the 4 Ave flyover will be closed. It will also be fully closed on Feb 13 & 14 between 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. to repair damaged railings.

2. Ongoing until April 30, 2025: Mission Bridge full closure between Elbow Drive S.W. and Roxboro Drive S.W.

3. Ongoing until June 27, 2025: 4 Ave S.E. two right lanes at 1 St S.E. closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

4. December 9 – March 21, 2025: 5 Ave S.W. at 6 St S.W. alternating work areas with either two right lanes and sidewalk closed, or three left lanes closed. Work is at night and completed in phases.

5. January 6 – March 21, 2025: 9 Ave S.W. two right lanes closed at 10 St S.W. for Enmax work.

6. January 6 – March 28, 2025: 6 St S.W. at 5 Ave S.W. two right lanes and east sidewalk closure 24/7 for ENMAX work.

7. February 15-16: 5 Ave S.W. between 2 St S.W. and 1 St S.W. three right lanes closed for a crane lift. Then from February 18 – May 2, the two right lanes will be closed for ENMAX manhole repairs.

8. February 17 – June 21: Centre St S. between 8 Ave & 9 Ave two-way traffic on east side of road for ENMAX vault replacement.

9. February 14: 1 St S.W. @ 3 Ave S.W., road fully closed, no access from 3 Ave S.W. to 1 St S.W.

10. February 15: 4 Ave S.W. between 5 St S.W. and 6 St S.W. three right lanes and the north sidewalk closed for a crane lift.

11. February 15: 11 St S.W. between 7 Ave S.W. and 8 Ave S.W. will see two-way traffic for a crane lift.

12. February 18-28: Northbound 7 St S.W. between 10 Ave S.W. and 11 Ave S.W. will be closed.

13. February 20 – March 2: 15 Ave S.W. between 5 St S.W. and 6 St S.W. will see daily road closures between 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. 5 St S.W. in this area will also see a single lane closure during this time.

14. Weekends in February, ending February 16: Road closures on 8 Ave between 1 St S.E. and 3 St S.W. for Chinook Blast.
