  • Public Safety on the LRT and in our communities

  • Homelessness, Transitional Housing, Affordable/Attainable Housing Options

  • Increase Residential Intensification [i.e. upzoning, direct control land use] conflicts with existing Area Development Plan [ARP], and the new Riley Local Area Plan

  • Downtown Revitalization [office vacancy, jobs, Event Centre, parking, Green Line LRT]

  • COVID-19 Vaccine Passport and Face Covering Bylaw

The 5 key opportunities in Ward 7 are:

  • Working with Calgary Police Services and LRT Transit Security to address community safety issues

  • A new collaborative and coordinated approach to Ward 7 advocacy through improve constituency consultation and public engagement

  • Increasing accessibility to Ward 7 communities through the 5A network with a balanced perspective on pedestrian, bike, transit, and private vehicles

  • Addressing smart growth and the Climate Emergency through innovative local area planning

  • Rebuilding the Downtown through a new "destination and experience" strategy that tells the Calgary story through the history of newcomers and settlers
